REFINED SUGAR

Sugar that has been graded and measured for quality using the International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis (ICUMSA) color scale. The ICUMSA scale measures the purity of sugar by evaluating its color.

ICUMSA 45 REFINE WHITE SUGAR

ICUMSA 45 sugar, also known as refined white sugar, is a very pure crystalline sugar, obtained after an extensive refining process. Its name "ICUMSA 45" refers to the classification of its color according to the standards of the International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis (ICUMSA). Unlike raw sugar, ICUMSA 45 is characterized by its bright white color, resulting from careful removal of impurities and coloring compounds during the refining process. This sugar has a fine texture and uniform crystallization, making it a preferred choice in many food and industrial applications. Its taste is neutral and sweet, which makes it versatile for various culinary preparations. Thanks to its high degree of purity, ICUMSA 45 .

BROWN SUGAR ICUMSA 600-1200

ICUMSA 600-1200 quality raw sugar is obtained after the initial crystallization process of sugar cane. Unlike white sugar, raw sugar maintains a rougher texture and displays a distinctive brownish tint. This sugar retains some of the natural molasses that was not entirely removed during the refining process, which contributes to its characteristic color and flavor. When subjected to a complete refining process, raw brown cane sugar generates approximately 70% white sugar. The increased presence of molasses gives raw sugar a higher mineral content, adding richer, more complex flavor nuances. Molasses is responsible for the distinctive brown color as well as the slightly caramelized flavor associated with this type of sugar.

ICUMSA 45

ICUMSA 150 sugar, also known as S-30 sugar, is a category of sugar that falls between raw and refined sugar. This classification, determined by the International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis (ICUMSA), indicates a darker color than refined white sugar, but less pronounced than that of raw sugar. ICUMSA 150 results from the raw sugar refining process, where some of the impurities are removed, but some coloring and mineral substances are retained, giving the sugar a more amber hue. ICUMSA 150 sugar has a slightly grainier texture than white sugar and has a delicate flavor with hints of molasses, making it an interesting choice for certain culinary applications where a more complex flavor is desired.
